Africa was home to one of the early headliner attractions at the Animal Kingdom, Kilimanjaro Safaris. In keeping with the safari theme, Imagineers created an entire African village named Harambe. In keeping with the idea of creating a self-contained, all-inclusive African environment, the Imagineers spent countless hours in the planning and construction of Harambe. The authentic buildings, exotic landscaping and attention to detail immerse guests in the safari experience long before the arrive at Kilimanjaro Safaris.
