The Tree of Life is an amazing sight, rising 145 feet above the lush surroundings of Discovery Island. But as you approach the Tree of Life you’ll discover something extra magical. Carved into the trunk and branches are over 320 animals, painstakingly sculpted by a team of 20 artists who worked for over 18 months. The result is an awe-inspiring spectacle that symbolizes the majesty and variety of life on our home planet–the perfect way to say “Welcome to the Animal Kingdom”!
