The original Animation Tour began with a
short film starring Robin Williams,
who received a lesson in animation from none
other than Walter Cronkite. During the film,
an animated Robin took part in a thrilling
animated sequence that landed him on Captain
Hook's pirate ship as one of the Lost Boys.
At the conclusion of the film, guests sat
with a Disney animator who drew a
character or two and answered questions.
From there, guests got to tour the actual
animation studios, where they could see Disney
artists working on future projects. Finally,
a second film was shown that showcased some
of the
finest moments in Disney animation.
