Ursula is actually a giant puppet measuring 12 feet tall and 10 feet wide.

Ariel was once played by the actress Leanza Cornett, who eventually became Miss America in 1993. She also went on to host Entertainment Tonight in 1994 and has guest starred on Melrose Place.
