Lights, Motors, Action! debuted as part of the Happiest Celebration on Earth
festival at the Walt Disney World Resort, in commemoration of Disneyland's 50th anniversary. As part of the celebration, each of the four Walt Disney World theme parks received a new attraction cloned from another Disney resort. Lights, Motors, Action! was one of the more popular attractions at the Walt Disney Studios theme park at the Disneyland Resort Paris in France, so it was only natural that the action-packed stunt spectacular would find a home at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
