| The buildings
that line the Streets of America are in fact
cleverly crafted facades (after all, this
is a movie set!). You may also notice that
the skyscrapers in the New York facade make
use of forced perspective to make the buildings
appear taller (the windows and other details
get smaller and smaller as you get higher
and higher, making them appear further away). |

| During the filming
of a Bette Midler short film used for the
park, Disney cleaning crews came into New
York Street (as it was then known), picked
up all the trash and cleaned the streets
(as they of course are normally supposed
to do!). Unfortunately, it was meant to look
dirty, so the film crew had to "dirty
up" the streets again before filming
could resume! |
