Tower of Terror

The Tower of Terror is probably the scariest ride in all of Walt Disney World. The 13-story drops are absolutely terrifying, and the unpredictability of the ride makes it all the more frightening. It’s tough to say which is scarier—the drops in total darkness or the brief glimpse of the park from 13-stories up when the elevator doors slide open. Definitely a must-ride for thrill seekers!
The Tower of Terror drops you at speeds faster than gravity, thanks to the specially (some would say sadistically!) designed elevator cars. The rocket-like ascent back to the top is just as fast, giving you the alternating sensations of being pressed into your seat with incredible force and the weightlessness of freefall.
Because they’re preoccupied with the terrifying drops, many people overlook the fact that the Tower of Terror is filled with stunning visual effects-perhaps the most impressive in all of Walt Disney World. Ghostly apparitions and other-worldly effects dominate the first part of the attraction, making you feel like you’re really in the Twilight Zone. The Hollywood Hotel itself is an incredible piece of Imagineering. If you’re not too nervous, be sure to check out the amount of eerie detail in the hotel lobby, it’s truly astounding!
Your stomach is definitely going to get a workout here! The 13-story drops are surpassed only by the lightening fast launches back to the top of the tower. On top of that, the number and configuration of drops is randomized, so there’s a definite factor of not-knowing-what-will-come-next, even if you’re a seasoned veteran. The Tower of Terror is not for the faint of heart, and definitely not recommended on a full stomach!
The Tower of Terror just might be the most popular attraction in all of Walt Disney World, and is a favorite destination of thrill seekers from all over the world. Its location next to the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster makes this end of Sunset Boulevard a very popular place! FastPass is highly recommended when crowds start to build.
Your tour of the Hollywood Hotel takes about 4 minutes.

The Tower of Terror is at the top of the list of every thrill seekers attractions to visit. Many people vote the Tower of Terror as their favorite attraction in all of Walt Disney World, but be warned, it's not for the faint of heart
