The Universe of Energy
originally showed a film examining the different
types of energy currently in use. The projection
surface was composed of 100 solid triangular elements
that rotated in sync with the images, creating
a kinetic mosaic. A second animated film told the
story of fossil fuels, after which the theater
split into six moving sections that took guests
on a tour of the primeval world
featuring colossal Audio-Animatronic dinosaurs.
The presentation concluded with a final film. |
| Updates: |
On January 2, 1996,
the Universe of Energy closed for major renovations,
with the intent of making the show more fun and
a bit less serious.
On
September 15, 1996, a new show,
Ellen's
Energy
Crisis, made its debut. The name was quickly changed
to Ellen's Energy Adventure. |
