Mission: Space
was designed with the help of actual NASA
astronauts, who say it is the most realistic
simulation of space flight that they’ve
ever experienced!
The illusion
of speed is achieved by computerized, state-of-the-art
centrifuges that spin and tilt
to simulate space flight. There are four
separate centrifuges, each with 10 capsules
holding four riders each.
The simulator
hardware was designed
and built by the Environmental Tectonics
Corporation of Pennsylvania.
It is estimated
that the the cost of developing the attraction
was $100 million.
