"Good evening and welcome. We've gathered here tonight around the fire as people of all lands have gathered for thousands and thousands of years before us ... to share the light ... and to share a story. An amazing story as old as time itself, but still being written. And though each of us has our own individual stories to tell, a true adventure emerges when we bring them all together as one. I hope you enjoy our story tonight: Reflections of Earth."

And so begins this incredibly moving and awe-inspiring fireworks spectacular, perhaps the best in all of Walt Disney World. 19 torches are lit around World Showcase lagoon as guests are invited to gather around for a story of our home, planet earth, and the link between past and future. At the conclusion of the introduction a single breath extinguishes the torches, leaving the audience in darkness. A heavy drumbeat begins, accelerating faster & faster, culminating in a thunderous roar and the launch of a solitary firework over the lagoon signaling the start of the show.

Act I: "Chaos"
The opening act, depicting the chaotic birth of our planet, features dazzling fireworks, dancing fountains and plumes of fire erupting in the air. Colorful lasers criss cross the sky, tracing neon colored beams above World Showcase Lagoon. Just as everything reaches a tumultuous peak, the fireworks and pyrotechnics vanish as a calm musical theme signals the start of...

Act II: "Order"
As a quiet hush descends over the Lagoon, colorful lights and cascading fountains usher in the appearance of the floating globe, a 28-foot sphere covered by an LED video system representing planet Earth and its evolution. Hundreds of images inspired by the history of the earth swirl to life including animals, primitive man, exploration, architectural wonders, and famous faces from history. The pace of the images accelerates as the tempo of the music increases, leading to a final image of an astronaut who sees the earth in its true context: as one place, home to all people.

Act III: "Meaning"
Uplifting music, lasers, lights, animated fountains, and a barrage of fireworks combine to create a mesmerizing finale. A lone voice sings the stirring and emotional theme song "We Go On", soon to be joined by a full chorus. The show reaches its climax as the earth globe blossoms, unfolding to reveal a flaming torch rising slowly, heralding the dawn of the new millennium. The skies are filled with an unimaginable explosion of fireworks unlike any seen before. Then, after a brief moment of suspenseful silence, the drumbeats build to a dizzying crescendo and a huge barrage of fireworks lights up World Showcase with the power of a hundred suns, welcoming the dawn of a new age.
