Opened:
October 1, 1971 (Original Attraction)
Origins: This attraction was inspired by the 1960 film Swiss Family Robinson, which was itself inspired by the novel of the same name penned by Johann David Wyss in 1812.

The movie told the story of a family who was marooned on a deserted island. They built an elaborate home in the branches of a giant tree, and it was this tree that served as the inspiration for this walk-through attraction.
