Sit on the outside if you want your parents to take your picture as you ride. That way they’ll have a good view of you as you circle past.
 
Every horse moves up and down, so you don’t have to worry about searching one out.
 
The Carrousel is moderately popular, and not usually as crowded as some of the other attractions in Fantasyland. Remember that the Carrousel holds a lot of people, so the line will move quickly (once it gets going).
 
The further away from the inside you sit, the faster you go. The Carrousel doesn’t present much of a motion sickness problem, but if you have any concerns you should try to sit closer to the center.
