Dumbo is a slow loading attraction and a favorite among kids. Because of that, lines can be very long and slow moving. To avoid a long wait, try to visit early in the morning or during a parade or show.

This is not a FastPass attraction, so if the lines are longer than a half hour you might want to try at another time (keep in mind that the ride itself only lasts a couple of minutes). If Dumbo is a particular favorite you’ll definitely want to tour at a less busy time.

Dumbo is similar in style to the Magic Carpets of Aladdin, the only difference being the theming of the ride. If your kids like this attraction they’ll also enjoy the Magic Carpets. The Magic Carpets can also be a nice alternative to Dumbo if your kids want to fly but aren’t particularly enamored with Dumbo (the Magic Carpets of Aladdin usually has a shorter line).

Be wary of the Florida sun, the queue area has no shelter and it can get pretty hot out there!

The seats are on the smallish side, a large adult might have some trouble squeezing in with their little one.
