Snow White's Scary
Adventures was a popular attraction at Disneyland,
inspired by the film that started it all, Snow
White and the Seven Dwarfs.
In the original version of the attraction, guests
took on the role of Snow White herself, experiencing
all of the adventures from her point of view. Because
of this approach, Snow White herself did not appear
during the ride (you were supposed to be Snow White
after all). |

Partly due to this
confusion, and because the attraction was particularly
frightening for young children, the attraction
received a major renovation in 1994 that diminished
the role of the Wicked Witch and introduced Snow
White into many of the scenes. The renovation also
increased the capacity of the mining cars from
four guests to six.
Initially, the word 'Scary' was dropped from the
attraction's title, but because the Witch and the
dark forest scenes were still sufficiently spooky,
the
name
soon reverted back to "Snow White's Scary
Adventures". |
