Take a raft over to Tom Sawyer Island, an out-of-the-way play area featuring winding caves, barrel bridges, forts and cannons. The island is a one big play area that you can explore at your own pace.
To get to Tom Sawyer Island, board the raft that leaves every few minutes from the dock found at the foot of Thunder Mountain.

Once there, you'll find a maze of dark passageways with lots of caves to explore, an old mine, a bouncing rope bridge, a barrel bridge, and an old-fashioned fort called Fort Langhorn. Inside the fort you'll find air rifles and cannons and a secret escape tunnel. Don't worry about getting lost, maps are posted here and there, and since the paths meander all over the place it's a great way to check out where you are.
If you find the paths and caves to be a little too strenuous for you (or a little young!), you can sit and relax in rocking chairs by the dock, play checkers, and enjoy a nice cool lemonade.

The caves can be a bit frightening if you’re afraid of the dark, otherwise there’s nothing scary here (you don’t have to go in the caves if you don’t want to).
