Origins: Inspired by "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer", by Mark Twain, Tom Sawyer Island was built on the island situated in the Rivers of America to provide a vast playground for kids to enjoy as well as a quiet place for parents to relax.
Updates: In 1997, Fort Sam Clemens was renamed Fort Langhorne. This was done to make it consistent with the fort seen in the Disney film Tom and Huck.
