The Liberty Square
Riverboat was built to take guests on a leisurely
tour of the Rivers of America, and also to provide
a thematic link between Frontierland and Liberty
Square.
The original name of the riverboat was the Richard
F. Irvine, named after the former Vice President
and Director of Design for WED. He was one of the
driving forces behind the designs of both Disneyland
and the Magic Kingdom. |
| Updates: |
In 1996 the riverboat
was rechristened the Liberty Belle in order to
create a stronger identity with Liberty Square. |
