SpectroMagic

Little Known Facts

SpectroMagic uses a variety of state-of-the-art technologies to bring this dazzling show to life, including prismatic holography, electro-luminescence, 100 miles of fiber-optic cable, light-spreading thermoplastics, clouds of underlit liquid-nitrogen smoke and, of course, good old-fashioned twinkle lights (600,000 of them!). The visual spectacle is choreographed to music specially produced for the show that’s presented over an array of 204 speakers with 72,000 watts of power.

The “confetti of light” effect is produced by an array of xenon flashlights and mirrored balls, producing a dazzling light display that’s 48,000 times more powerful than a normal flashlight. It’s so brilliant that you can sometimes see thousands of tiny light beams dancing through the air right before your very eyes!

75 tons of deep-cycle batteries provide the power to light and move the SpectroMagic floats through the Magic Kingdom. The battery supply is equivalent to that of a fleet of 2,000 trucks.
