Attention, Space Rangers! Buzz Lightyear needs your help to defeat the evil Emperor Zurg! As you prepare to board your craft, you'll receive a briefing from Buzz Lightyear himself. Your mission-to blast away at special targets placed throughout the galaxy (all marked with "Z"'s). The more you shoot, the more points you'll earn.

Once you begin your journey, you'll find that you have two tools to assist you. The first is your laser cannon. Your laser cannons fire a beam of red light-hit the targets with the beam to score points. To get at those targets, you'll also find a joystick that you can use to spin your ship around, the better to maneuver yourself into prime firing position.

After a final showdown with emporer Zurg, Buzz Lightyear will offer his congratulations. Check your score to see how you did, you'll find a chart at the end of your adventure that tells you your ranking.
