| The Boardwalk Inn evokes
memories of the festive boardwalks of Atlantic
City, with games, eateries and entertainment
lining the lake front. But it's not all
just fun and games. Walking through the
BoardWalk Inn is like entering an elegant,
nostalgic postcard from
the
early 1900s. Old-fashioned carnival memorabilia
and sophisticated decor add to the carefree
ambience of this magical resort. |

In
terms of walking distance to both
Epcot and the Disney-MGM Studios, the
BoardWalk Inn is the most conveniently
located of all the Epcot resorts.
Walking out the front of the Boardwalk
Inn and turning right leads you to a short
five minute stroll to the International
Gateway of Epcot. You'll also find a path
out the
back of the Boardwalk Inn that follows
the boat canal to the Disney-MGM Studios. |
| • |
The BoardWalk
itself is festive place filled with restaurants,
shops, carnival games and entertainment.
You can rent a bicycle or surrey and ride
all the way around Crescent Lake. You can
even watch Illuminations (a favorite viewing
spot is the bridge that crosses over the
boat canal). |

The Boardwalk
Inn certainly features lots of festive
activities, but you may be surprised to
learn that there are plenty of quiet, relaxing
places where you can escape to. In particular,
seek out the back door that leads you to
a set of stairs descending into the Garden
Suites courtyard. You'll discover a peaceful
sanctuary filled with beautiful gardens
and tranquil pathways. |
| The BoardWalk Inn features
a variety of guest rooms, concierge rooms
and suites. Guest rooms offer views of
Crescent Lake or the front of the resort.
Water View rooms put you right in the heart
of the BoardWalk itself (though be aware
it might get a bit noisy!). The two-story
Garden Suites all feature a private yard
or balcony,
as well as a private entrance. |
Magic
Kingdom
Bus (you'll usually make additional
stops at the Yacht Club and Beach Club).
If you're up for an adventure, you can also walk to Epcot, exit through
the front of the park and take the monorail to the Ticket and Transportation
Center. From there you can transfer to the Magic Kingdom monorail
to complete your trip! You can also board the resort monorail and
visit the Grand Floridian, Polynesian and Contemporary Resorts. |
Epcot
You're just a few minutes away
from Epcot by foot. You can also take a
boat that makes continual round trips to
the Yacht and Beach Clubs, the Swan and
Dolphin, and finally Epcot (walking is
MUCH quicker,
however). |
Disney-MGM
Studios
Boats are on hand to take you
to the Disney-MGM Studios. Like the Epcot
boats, the boats for the Studios also stop
at the Swan-Dolphin and the Yacht and Beach
Clubs.
You can also walk to the Disney-MGM Studios on the path behind the
Boardwalk Inn. The path is about a mile long and follows the boat
canal (if the weather is nice and you don't mind the exercise it's
a very pleasant and peaceful way to get to the Studios). |
Animal
Kingdom
Bus (you'll usually make additional
stops at the Yacht Club and Beach Club). |
Other
Destinations
Buses provide transportation to
the water parks and Downtown Disney. You
can walk (or take a boat) to the Yacht
Club, Beach Club, Swan and Dolphin resorts. |
