| The Contemporary Resort
features an art-deco, futuristic design
and breathtaking views of the Magic Kingdom
and Bay Lake. As one of the original Magic
Kingdom resorts (it opened along with the
Polynesian Resort and the Magic Kingdom),
the Contemporary Resort was (and still is)
a bold, innovative architectural concept;
modular rooms slid into a towering A-frame
structure with a grand, open concourse (dubbed,
appropriately enough, the Grand Canyon Concourse). |
| • |
Nothing
is more magical than the monorail gliding
through the concourse of the Contemporary.
Just imagine the thrill of waking up, getting
dressed, grabbing a quick breakfast, and
then riding the elevator down to the fourth
floor just in time to board the monorail
that whisks you away to the Magic Kingdom! |
| • |
The Contemporary
is also the only resort to feature spectacular
room views of the Magic Kingdom, and the
only resort within walking distance to the
Magic Kingdom. |
| • |
If you're room
looks over the Magic Kingdom, you can sit
out on your balcony for your very own private
viewing of Wishes, the Magic Kingdom's nightly
fireworks display! |
Tower rooms feature spectacular
views of the Magic Kingdom on one side, and
Bay Lake on the other (you can request the
side of the tower you'd like to stay in,
Magic Kingdom rooms are a bit more expensive
but are well worth it!).
The Contemporary Resort also features a number
of Garden Rooms located in the smaller
buildings surrounding the Tower. Many of
these rooms offer spectacular and peaceful
views of Bay Lake. You'll also find a new DVC resort, Bay Lake Towers, which is connected via a sky bridge to the Grand Canyon Concourse. |
Magic
Kingdom
You can board the monorail for a
quick trip to the Magic Kingdom, making stops
at the Ticket and Transportation Center,
the Polynesian Resort and the Grand Floridian
along the way. You can also walk to the Magic
Kingdom—it's
just a few minutes away by foot. |
Epcot
You can either take the monorail
to the Transportation and Ticket Center and
transfer to the Epcot monorail, or travel
by bus. |

Floridian resorts, and you can also take a
