| The Yacht Club is probably
the most elegant of the Epcot resorts,
taking you back to the luxurious days of
the upscale New
England
seaside resorts of yesteryear. |
| • |
Convenience!
The Yacht Club is a short walk away from
Epcot and the other Epcot resorts on Crescent
Lake. A five to ten minute stroll brings
you to the International Gateway in World
Showcase.
World Showcase itself doesn't
open until 11:00 am, but you can still
enter even if World Showcase isn't open
yet (you'll be able to walk straight through
to Future World in the morning).
You can also walk to the Hollywood Studios
if
you so desire! |

Here's a magical
tip for your walk to Epcot, particularly
useful if it's hot or raining, or if you
just like to go exploring. The Yacht Club
and Beach Club are connected, so you can
actually wander through the Yacht Club,
along Stormalong Bay and back inside the
Beach Club, finally exiting onto the Crescent
Walkway a short walk away from Epcot. Also,
as you walk back and forth to Epcot, note
that at one point you have the choice of
walking across a wide bridge or following
a smaller path along the water. Take the
path! It's usually much less traveled and
the stroll along the waterway is truly
magical, especially at night. |

The Yacht Club
features one of the most spectacular pools
in all of Walt Disney World. Stormalong
Bay (which is shared with the connecting
Beach Club resort),
is a
sprawling
pool
with lots of different areas, all featuring
a natural sand bottom. Stormalong Bay is
also home to one of the wildest slides
you'll over see—a wet and wild plunge
down the mast of a shipwrecked boat! |
| • |
You'll also
be near the Boardwalk where you can enjoy
a lakeside meal, try your luck at a variety
of carnival-style game, and even catch
the higher fireworks of Illuminations at
night! |
| The Yacht Club features
a variety of guest rooms, concierge rooms
and suites, with some rooms offering a
lakefront view and others tucked away in
more private areas of the resort. |
Magic
Kingdom
Bus (you'll usually make additional
stops at the Beach Club and BoardWalk Inn).
If you're up for an adventure, you can also walk to Epcot, exit through
the front of the park and take the monorail to the Ticket and Transportation
Center. From there you can transfer to the Magic Kingdom monorail
to complete your trip! You can also board the resort monorail and
visit the Grand Floridian, Polynesian and Contemporary Resorts. |
Epcot
You're just a few minutes away
from Epcot by foot. You can also take a
boat that makes continual round trips to
the Boardwalk Inn, the Swan and Dolphin,
and finally Epcot. |
Hollywood Studios
Boats are on hand to take you
to the Hollywood Studios. Like the Epcot
boats, the boats for the Studios also
stop at the Swan-Dolphin and Boardwalk
Inn.
You can also walk to the Hollywood Studios on the path near the
Boardwalk Inn. The path is about a mile long and follows the boat
canal (if the weather is nice and you don't mind the exercise it's
a very pleasant and peaceful way to get to the Studios). |
Animal
Kingdom
Bus (you'll usually make additional
stops at the Beach Club and BoardWalk Inn). |
Other
Destinations
Buses provide transportation to
the water parks and Downtown Disney. You
can walk to the Beach Club, BoardWalk Inn,
Swan and Dolphin resorts (boats will also
take you to the Swan/Dolphin and BoardWalk
Inn). |
