Pop Century (along with the three All Star Resorts), offers the best value of all the Walt Disney World Resorts. Even though the rates are much lower than the other Disney resorts, guests will still get to enjoy all of the amenities of other resort guests, including bus transportation throughout Walt Disney World, the ability to charge purchases to your room, package delivery from the theme parks to the resort gift shop, and last but not least, that classic Disney attention to detail.

Pop Century is comprised of five areas, each themed around a particular decade with the theming tied into the fads of that time.

The 1950s area features giant sock-hoppers dancing on the sides of the buildings, and a 40-foot-tall tabletop jukebox. You'll also find giant versions of Lady and the Tramp from the Disney movie of the same name (which was released in 1955).

The 1960s features psychedelic colors, giant Play-Doh creations and massive Duncan Imperial yo-yos. Towering versions of Baloo and Mowgli (from the 1967 film The Jungle Book) can also be found here.

The 1970s boasts a giant Big Wheel, foozball soccer players and giant eight track tapes (remember those?).

The 1980s features massive Rubik's Cubes on each building (in various stages of solving), and a giant Sony Walkman (complete with headphones).

The 1990s pays tribute to two current fads; the cellular telephone and the laptop computer.

Some of the areas feature a uniquely themed pool particular to their decade: a bowling pin-shaped pool in the 1950s, the Hippy Dippy flower power pool in the 1960s, and a computer-shaped pool complete with spongy keyboard in the 1980s.

The guest rooms all open externally to ground level or second floor walkways, and as you might expect are a bit smaller than the rooms found in the Moderate and Deluxe resorts (but are still quite comfy).

Buses provide transportation to all the Disney theme parks, water parks and Downtown Disney.
